Bakhchisaray (Bakhchisarai) is located between Simferopol and Sevastopol.
Until recently (2010 - 2011) foreign travellers preferred to stay overnight in Sevastopol, Yalta or Simferopol while visiting Bakhchisaray and the vicinities for a couple of hours on the way to other destinations.
Today a tourist can find a few decent small hotels or bed and breakfast places in Bakhchisaray.
The prices for accommodation are lower than, e.g., in Sevastopol or Yalta. Besides, most hotels (guest houses) are located very close to the Khan's Palace. One can use local buses (marshrutka) to get to Uspensky cave monastery and Chufut-Kale (the cradle of the Crimean Karaites «qaraylar»).
