Sometimes tourists overestimate the importance of Simferopol. Certainly, the main airport and the train station are there. But one can easily pass it by, as the distances from the Crimean capital to the resort cities and towns are not too long. It takes 1 or 2 hours or sometimes 3 hours to get to the main attractions on the coasts. Yet, one should take into account that public transport is not reliable after 10 pm and before 6 am. Besides, strange as it may seem, there are no regular bus lines from Simferopol (SIP) airport to the main cities (Yalta, Feodosia, Sevastopol, etc), i.e., for those who travel by bus, the only solution is to get to the bus station neighboring the train station (it takes 20-25 minutes). It's not convenient if one has much luggage. Private transfer is also a way out.
