Most of Yalta hotels have good location, since the strip of land between the mountains and the Black sea is quite narrow. If one is keen on a room with the sea view, one has to consider
the first line hotels:
Bristol Hotel (best value!!!)
Hotel Otdykh (budget)
First line hotels have private beaches (excluding only Bristol and Otdykh). Other hotels either rent the beaches from their lucky rivals, or recommend the clients to use municipal beaches. Although Yalta is the vacation location of the masses, its coast has pebble and rock beaches.
Second line hotels:
Villa White Eagle (best value!!!)

Suburban hotels:
The best value hotels are Villa White Eagle and Bristol Hotel. Besides, tourists praise the breakfasts at both hotels. The better price might result also from the high and low season price periods that differ at the hotels.
Hotel Otdykh is probably the cheapest central hotel in Yalta. It's very close to the municipal beach.
Anyway, if one can pay a bit more, book a room at the Villa White Eagle.
