Our clients say about hotel yalta:
Mark, USA:
Our hotel accomodations at The Yalta Hotel Complex were fine with no complaints, we enjoyed our time there. The Hotel itself had many thigns to do and its beach area was nice. The booking and payment of the Hotel was quick, easy and professional. The Breakfasts were great together and the food was very good. We ate dinner at the hotel twice also and it was fine. One dinner at a cafe below the hotel in the complex was also very good, I forgot the name of the cafe. We like also eating at the cafes in Yalta itself.
Paal, Norway:
Hotel Yalta-Intourist - next time I will maybe ask for another Hotel. This one was not in special good shape, and the service was not good as I am used too. There was no cleaning in room for two days and we have to ask for toiletpaper and soap etc... Even bad service when asking qestions... We was on the beach to the other hotel in center for two days, and took the breakfast on the beach. This one was very good. All in all, I like place, and will come back to you with a later ocation.
Jacquie:
Hotel Yalta was not as bad as I expected from some reviews on the net. it reminded me of the Hall of residence I had lived in at university in the 1970s - but I did have my own bathroom. Furnishings were rather old and the carpet stained. The curtains fell down the first night. However it was generally clean and I had a super sea view. Others in my tour group told me it was not worth the extra for a renovated room as their Air Con did not work! Service in the hotel was variable. In the Last Chance I found I needed to be sitting with other people to get served - otherwise as a single female traveller I was ignored. Service in the Pauliner restaurant outside was service with a smile.
The Crimean area is spectacular - I was exploring the area with an organised party and so spent little time in the hotel. It was a good base.
This is a massive Soviet style hotel in a fascinating area - catch it whilst you can. They are already demolishing the Intourist Rossija in Moscow. and staying Intourist is certainly a travel experience.
Tautara:
I spent two weeks at the Hotel Yalta complex. I was there on business. It wasn't bad. It was once a very popular hotel in the Soviet Union. It is still very much in the Soviet style. The rooms are small but fine. Where it is lacking is in service. I had to leave notes or ask for toilet paper or soap a few times. My Russian came in handy for this.
Overall, if you've been in Soviet-style hotels before I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Yalta hotel. If you're used to North American or European hotels, well.....maybe this isn't for you.
I had a good time in Yalta. The people outside of the Hotel Yalta were friendly and helpful. I would love to go back someday.
Pal:
Hi Ihor, Im pleased to say that our stay in Crimea, overall was very good. We enjoyed the clean and safe city of Yalta, and also the places we took some daytrips too, one was Sebastopol. People in general are nice and tries to be helpful, thats always nice to experience. Regarding the hotel Yalta, that was also nice, even if some of the staff should have taken a "smiling-course".
Not to forget you and Sergey's services, which were very professional and helps to give our Crimea-trip the high score. We all hope to go back one day, and are sure to recommand Crimea as a place to go to, when it comes to talking travel.
Thx again for your help, Ihor and good luck!
Lutz Marschall:
Yalta Intourist hotel is ok for a 3 star. Not great, but ok. What was really annoying was, that they had a large congress there for most of the time. And these pleople had a concert every night from about 10 pm till 2 or 3 in the morning in the large auditorium that belongs to the hotel. The music was so loud that bascially the beds were shaking. 4 Nights in a row. I was very glad when they left. After that, all was ok. You might want to inquire in the future if large groups or musical events are scheduled.
Tino:
The hotel's facilities and common areas were OK but the
room was in real need of renovations. The bathroom was really old
and not really up to European standards.
Vibeke, Norway:
We thought that the hotels in Crimea in general was expensive. But,
everything else is so cheap so it was ok.
The doobleroom where the girls stayed wasn't clean when they arrived.
The shower and the toilet had been used and not cleaned afterwards.
Our juniorsuite was ok, but it was in fact two double rooms put together.
With two bathrooms, two balconies (with a wall dividing them) and two
identical bedrooms, the one with a sofa and tv instead of a bed.
We tried some of the shops, restaurants and bars on the hotel and was
satisfied almost every time. One big disapointment was the italian
restaurant on the basementfloor (Al Tivali or something). After been
seated and given the menus we waited for 15 minutes trying to get in
contact with the waitresses. They overlooked us completely and other
guest who came after us got to ordred their food. Finally we just left
and tried another restaurant.
It was a great vacation but a bit difficult to make conversation when
they don't talk a work english.
The driver was great. Allways on time and very helpful despite the lack
of english.
