The population of Yalta is near 90.000. The Greater Yalta is the area that stretches from Hurzuf (Gurzuf) in the east to Foros in the west. Nikita, Livadia, Gaspra, Miskhor, Alupka, Simeiz and others are the towns and villages located within the Greater Yalta. The city of Yalta is probably the right choice for the travelers who are keen on quick and easy access to the public infrastructure and the main tourist sights. Public transport is fairly good. Yet, in some cases it's better to order a private transfer to a hotel, especially if one has lots of luggage. E.g., there is no regular bus line from Simferopol airport, but only from the train station.
